Video: A $10K Model S P90D and lifetime free Supercharging?

Buying a used EV, let alone an old Tesla? That's brave, if not batshit crazy. So then, why do it?

"I don't hate the murdered-out look. I thought I would, but I don't!"

Jonny Smith bloody did it: He found probably the cheapest driving Model S, and got a sweet surprise to boot. (To frunk?)

He thought he was buying a Model S 90D with a fairly excellent interior, a terrifying 230,000 miles (370,000km) on the clock, and a few small roadworthiness issues he’d have sorted in an afternoon.

It turned out to be the performance flagship P90D variant with loads of options added in, all retailing for more than A$200K in 2016 – and he had it all on the road for less than A$15,000.

Why did he buy it?

Two reasons: 1) to show us we needn’t fear buying a used EV, even one with loads of kays on it, and 2) because early Model S owners were promised a lifetime of free Supercharger use.

Me, I can’t stand Elon Musk, but that is a ripper deal.

Would you have bought this Model S if it came up at that price?
