Another wild creation from Shelby, but is it worth the coin?

It does look fat as fk at least👌

Shelby American has rightly decided there’s enough room for another monster Mustang, this time based on the Dark Horse.

They’re calling it the Super Snake-R, and the numbers are predictably massive.

They’ve bolted a supercharger onto the 5.0-litre Coyote V8 to pump out over 634kW (the Dark Horse makes 350kW), channelled through the buyer’s choice of a six-speed manual or a 10-speed auto.

To handle it, they’ve shoved in adjustable coilovers, upgraded brakes, and swapped out rubber bushings for metal bearings.

The bodywork is mostly carbon fibre, and it sits on feather-light 20-inch forged magnesium wheels wrapped in massive 335-section rear tyres.

In the US, the Snake-R will be priced at about $226,000 USD, which includes the donor car – converting to about $350,000 AUD.

That’s… a hell of a number to say the least, especially when you consider Chevrolet’s Corvette ZR1X, a 900kW+ Nürburgring record-holder, is cheaper.

In the US, I mean, since neither of them have been confirmed for Australia.
