Hey, keep up

The burning question in your mind, I can only imagine, is: how the hell do I keep up with Righto Turbo content? Mate.
Mate, have I got the answers for you.
Righto Turbo's got emails!
Firstly, if it's the easiest thing for you and you don't mind the flood it'll bring, Righto Turbo has a newsletter that'll pummel your inbox with every new post that goes up just as soon as it... goes up.
If that's the one you want, hit the sign-up button in the top right of this page – and, as with all newsletters, check your inbox to make sure we're not slipping down the wrong pipe into the spam pit.
My fave: RSS
My favourite way to stay on top of any blog's content is RSS (Really Simple Syndication), since it's not using any 'For You' algorithms to decide what you see and how current it'll be. (And how long it'll keep you doomscrolling.)
What's RSS?
If you remember Google Reader, it's basically that.
Most websites – although some are stupid – have an RSS feed ticking away in the background, ready to get hooked into whatever platform you use to receive its glorious messages.
Well, Google Reader is long gone, because Google is stupid, but RSS is still alive and many apps have sprung up to take Reader's place.
I use one called Feedly (their free tier is more than enough), but other popular ones include:
- Inoreader (web, Android, iOS)
- Feeder (web, Android, iOS)
- NewsBlur (web, Android, iOS)
- Feedbin (more like a platform that multiple indie apps connect to, but it's US$5 per month so I've never bothered)

In Feedly, I simply hit 'follow sources' in the menu, paste rightoturbo.com into the field, and moments later it'll invite you to add the RSS feed to your list of feeds – and you can do that with just about any blog or news website.
It's pretty sweet. I check Feedly throughout the day, simply because I know it's going to give me the news I'm interested in more immediately than I can get it from social media. (Assuming I'm following all the appropriate blogs and sites!)
But okay, social media
Sure, social media, why not. I guess it's not going away, right?
Since I'd apparently be an idiot to pretend it doesn't exist and can't be of any use, you'll find Righto Turbo here: Threads, Instagram, and Bluesky.
That's about it, for now, but probably also forever. Unless y'all are all secretly getting about on Tumblr? Let me know and I'll stumble on over.
One final note of disdain for social media: All of Meta's platforms (Threads, Instagram, Facebook) will downrank posts with links – which makes Righto Turbo's posts even less likely to get in front of you, whether you follow it or not.
In fairness, Bluesky doesn't play at any of these shenanigans and I heartily recommend it.
