Australia's track-only 'Gen3' Supra is the A90 we deserved

It's too late for the current generation, but maybe the coming A100 could look this tough...
Australia's track-only 'Gen3' Supra is the A90 we deserved

Imagine if the road-going version of the A90 Supra looked half as good as this bespoke V8-powered racer built for Australia's Supercars championship.

The properly integrated rear flaring and ducting is so damn good. /bites fist

The body wrapping the Gen3 tube chassis was designed by Toyota Australia, and while it has no parts in common with the production car, it looks bloody unreal.

Of course, this is what you can achieve when there are no constraints driven by shared architectures, road safety and production costs!

Toyota hasn't shown the racer in action yet, but you can listen to its delicious Lexus 2UR-GSE 5.0L song in the clip below.

The prototype will be shown in Sydney on September 1, followed by its first driving appearance at the Bathurst 1000 on October 9-12.

It'll make its full racing debut in the 2026 season, next February.

In the meantime, let's keep prayin' for this thing to be the next-gen A100 Supra...

Hey Toyota, that in-house A100 Supra you’re working on... can it please look like this?
Talk of Toyota’s next-gen Supra going entirely in-house isn’t new, but I couldn’t resist posting up these retro renders.
