This is Bentley's electric future?

Bentley has decided the best way to preview its electric era is with the EXP 15: a high-riding, three-seat, ultra-luxury… thing.
It's important to remember this is only a concept and the production car will likely be a more conventional thing – but it does give us a clear, if challenging, look at where the brand is heading.
If nothing else, Jaguar is probably thanking its lucky stars that the internet's attention is now on Bentley.

Listen, I'm gonna say it: That rear 3/4 view... is fine.
Taking the form of yet another jacked-up saloon, the EXP 15 concept is an unusual mix of coupe, sedan, and crossover design cues that don't quite resolve into a cohesive whole.
The front end is dominated by an illuminated 'grille' and a new, lit-up Flying B.
Yeah, subtlety is not on the agenda.

At over 5000mm long, this land yacht isn't the longest Bentley ever made, but I'm sure a LWB model will follow. It has presence, at least but the most curious decision is inside: the cabin seats three, but not in a McLaren F1-style layout.
Instead, Bentley has simply removed the front passenger seat, creating a space for luggage or, oddly, a dog bed.
It’s a solution that feels less like a bold design statement and more like an answer to a question nobody asked – a talking point masquerading as a feature.
Of course, a concept like this is more about signalling intent than previewing a production model.

Bentley has confirmed its first EV will be an SUV based on the same platform as the upcoming Porsche Cayenne EV, which makes perfect commercial sense.
While the aesthetics are debatable, the strategy is clear. Bentley is using this concept to brace its customers for a dramatic shift, just as Jaguar did when it robbed us all of weeks of sleep with its... rebrand.
It’s a deliberately bold and definitely jarring preview of the design language and technology that will define its electric future.
Remember when we didn't like the EXP 9F concept that previewed the Bentayga?
Can we go back to that... please...
