DJ's Greens-Tuf XE rides again
A very cool rebirth story continues an already legendary tale.

There are comeback stories, and then there’s Dick Johnson’s 1983 ‘Greens-Tuf’ Falcon.
Famously obliterated in a qualifying crash at Bathurst, the car was miraculously rebuilt overnight using a donor shell – and the volunteered elbow grease of some local TAFE students – hitting the grid the next day with famously wet paint.
Its race ended early, thanks to a failed fuse of all things, but the legend lived on.
After decades in storage, the original car has been meticulously restored by a Ford-obsessed family and Group C guru Chad Parrish. It’s no mere tribute; it’s the real deal, complete with its battle scars and original Cleveland V8. Better yet, it's returning to the track.
